Beyond Justice

I like a good suspense novel with a dash of romance.  This was a suspense novel with some romance but it was only okay.

Hayden McCarthy is a young lawyer with tenacity and focus.  She is a assigned a case that gets more complicated the deeper she digs.  The case involves murder, immigration, cover-up, and cartels.  This reaches further than she ever anticipated.

The story line is interesting but the connections between the characters is too convenient.  There were times when the story line stalled and became boring.  Towards the end the story accelerated too fast and there was not enough development of the plot.  Overall, the book was just okay.

Thomas Nelson provided me a free copy of this book in exchange for my review which I freely give.
