Kill the Silence

Rape is horrific and terrible.  No one should ever suffer in silence.  Thanks to Monika Korra, no one has to suffer in silence.  Her goal is to kill the silence for those who have been raped or sexually abused.

The writing of the book is not amazing but is impressive considering English is not Monika's first language.  The fact that she remembers so much from events from months ago is amazing.  She describes not just the rape but the aftermath and the repercussions in great detail.  She shares what many are not able to even put into words.

It took a lot of courage and strength for Monika to survive a senseless act but she found a way to rise about it and do some good.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.  See more here.
