The 13th Gift

This is a delightful book to read at Christmastime!

Not everyone is in the holiday mood especially if you have lost a loved one this year.  This is exactly what Joanne Huist Smith faced the first Christmas after her husband died.  She was struggling to grieve and just could not face Christmas without her husband and the father of her 3 children.  Then the gifts started to arrive.  One a day for 12 days.  These gifts were small and simple, but they brought hope and joy back into their lives.

I could have read this book in one night.  It is the kind of book you read while sitting by the fire sipping hot cocoa with a dollop of whipped cream.  It is the kind of book you read when you need to be reminded that people are good and that live is worth living.

Harmony books provided me a free copy of this book in exchange for my review which I freely give.  I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.  For more information click here.
