My understanding of the conflict in the mideast is woefully inadequate. This book helped me begin to comprehend what is happening and why. It also helped me realize that it is not a good guy vs. bad guy conflict.
Mosab is the son of a founding leader of Hamas; however, he is not fully committed to the cause. His questions lead him to become a spy for Shin Bet, the Israeli intelligence service. His questions did not stop there as he eventually became a believer in Jesus Christ. This belief forced him to leave his country, his career, and his family behind.
I don't know if my faith will ever be challenged like Mosab. His family disowned him as he turned his back on Islam. It was not done lightly, but he had to be true to the truth.
Tyndale provided me with a free copy of this book in exchange for this review which I freely give.
