The Book of Revelation Made Clear

Revelation is the most challenging book of the Bible.   With symbolism, imagery, prophecy, and judgements, it is a hard book to read and to understand.  Tim Lahaye and Timothy Parker have written a book that will help everyone read and understand Revelation.

Each chapter has a passage of Scripture, a pre-quiz, an explanation, and the answers to the quiz.  With this simple structure, the reader goes through the entire book of Revelation.  It is an easy way to get a basic understanding of a difficult book.

Thomas Nelson has provided me a free copy of this book in exchange for this review which I freely give.

Son of Hamas

My understanding of the conflict in the mideast is woefully inadequate.  This book helped me begin to comprehend what is happening and why.  It also helped me realize that it is not a good guy vs. bad guy conflict.

Mosab is the son of a founding leader of Hamas; however, he is not fully committed to the cause.  His questions lead him to become a spy for Shin Bet, the Israeli intelligence service.  His questions did not stop there as he eventually became a believer in Jesus Christ.  This belief forced him to leave his country, his career, and his family behind.

I don't know if my faith will ever be challenged like Mosab.  His family disowned him as he turned his back on Islam.  It was not done lightly, but he had to be true to the truth.
