Unspoken

Dee Henderson has done it again with her latest thriller.  There is action and intrigue.  Romance and suspense.  This book has it all.

Charlotte Graham wants to leave the past behind, yet it takes facing the past to begin to truly heal.  Bryce Bishop unknowingly becomes the man to help her heal.

This could have easily been a 2-3 book series.  Instead it is an epic story of Charlotte and Bryce.  She was abducted at the age of 16 and rescued 4 years later.  While Charlotte has done her best to move on, she can never fully heal until she opens her heart to love again.  Bryce is willing to love and patiently support Charlotte as she tries to be the woman he knows she can be.

What impressed me about the story is that the author does not go into detail about Charlotte's abduction.  There is just enough detail to add to the story line but not so much that it violates the reader's sensibility.  Even though I wanted to know what happened, I am glad the author did not elaborate.  The story was about healing, not about hurt.

Bethany House provided me a free copy of this book in exchange for this review which I freely give.
